When I attended the school I had been made redundant and wanted to change career. My initial plan was to have a studio and work from home. However, early this year I had the opportunity to take over an existing florist shop and from March 2012 I have been running my own shop in a local market town.

I would never have been able to make such a massive change in my career without having attended the flower school - thank you so much, Judith. The help from yourself and your team made the 2 weeks some of the best ever! Janita

Just wanted to say a big thank you to you and all your staff who made the two weeks at your flower school very enjoyable. The course was brilliant! Also, thank you for organising the work experience with Paul Thomas. I am half way through and so far it has been a great experience. The shop is stunning, friendly people and I have had the chance to watch him making some beautiful arrangements. He is indeed the man of simple beauty. I have been assisting his staff with everything they need help with - lots of conditioning, putting oasis in vases for arrangements, pleating chicken wire, planting... I have even done a few arrangements for contracts! Floristry is hard work, but I love it! Barbora

The range of tuition and quality of teaching was first class. Your team are a great credit to you and nothing was ever too much trouble. I hope the school continues to go from strength to strength and I do think you should consider increasing the price of the BF course to at least £3k Karen Anderson

This month Sue Butcher brought 13 ladies to the school to create table flowers which were then taken to Gordon Ramsey's restaurant where the men had been creating lunch for the ladies. A great way to celebrate a 50th birthday.

Just a quick line to say thank you very much for a most enjoyable course yesterday. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and can't wait to put my newly acquired skills into practice. The venue, the staff, the style and pace of the teaching and the attention to detail all contributed to a super day. I may well be back for a Christmas treat. Hello Judith!

I thought I would update you again on my progress since my time at the School. It's been 18 months now since I completed the Business of Floristry course - cannot believe how time flies!

I am now affiliated with some large corporate events companies who seem to have taken a liking to my Team Building Flower Workshops, and I have also been officially named the Dedicated Florist for Northampton's award-winning Mackintosh House & Galleries. I have just got my first van and I have over 20 weddings booked as well as numerous further workshops and events.

I recently did a large Asian wedding and the garlands were named some of the best the client had ever seen! Very proud indeed.

Once again thank you for your support and the Country Life feature really helped establish my reputation and I got a few leads from it too.

After buying one of Judith's books and reading about her love and passion for flowers, I knew that I had to get on one of her courses. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time on the Business of floristry course and have learnt more in the 2 weeks here than my few years of training to be a florist. The course covers all key elements of becoming a florist and teaches you the best techniques to get yourself seen as a professional. Judith teaches some of the classes herself and also brings in a whole range of different and talented teachers. Thank you for giving me such great inspiration for a quick and easy spring flower arrangement. Last Friday, my son came home telling me that it was his turn to take flowers to the Prayer Table (he attends a Catholic School). Your book - 'Flower Recipes for Spring' - guided me on how to turn a bunch of tulips from our garden and an ordinary tube of Pringles into something the teachers and the mothers at the school gate loved. I've never done anything like this before so, considering it was my first attempt, it made me extremely proud. Needless to say, I've already placed an order for the other books in the series. I just wanted to say how very much I enjoyed my two days at the school for the Church Flowers course. Having for some weeks been apprehensive over coming and my ability to cope with the classes, I found the relaxed atmosphere and the superb way of teaching made us all at ease.

Floristry was a mere dream 5 months ago, but after taking your Business course and having the confidence to go ahead, it has really begun to feel like it will happen for me. I am now taking orders for gift bouquets daily and have secured 3 weddings and a 25th Wedding Anniversary party. And yesterday, I completed the flowers for a fashion shoot and the stylist was really impressed.

I have found that, as a young graduate, there are a lot of organisations out there willing to help new businesses. I now meet regularly with 2 personal business mentors – one with the Prince's Trust and one through Business Link. I have written a business plan and secured a business loan and have also been given a grant from the government to cover start-up costs.

My name is Rebecca Frere and I did your business floristry course at the end of last August 2007. Doing your course was such a joy, and I think it was the confidence that it gave me to go out and do my own thing, almost as much as the actual training, which was the best thing about it. All the different tutors were so inspiring and so different, it made me realise that floristry makes room for all sorts of people, there is no 'average' florist or set path to follow.
