Business of Floristry – two week course

This well established and popular course is ideal for those considering a change in career or wanting an in-depth look at the world of floristry. It would also be suitable for flower arrangers wishing to add to their skills.

Business theory will include:
• the wholesale market
• contract work
• different ways of purchasing flowers
• purchasing sundries and containers
• taking on premises
• working as a freelance florist
• how to promote a business
• relay organizations
• window displays
• customer care
Practical work will cover:
• the basics of floristry
• wedding work
• bouquets, posies and handtied bouquets
• headdresses
• corsages and buttonholes
• sympathy work
• parties and celebrations
• packaging and presentation
• pedestals
• styling and photography
Note – the course takes place from Monday to Friday each week.
