Flowers in watercolour
Maximum 8 to a class

One day painting workshops in which you will be taught how to develop a loose and flowing technique when painting favourite flowers in watercolour. You will receive lots of advice and tips for bringing your paintings to completion, both on the day and for the future.

Beginners and more experienced painters will find it a useful and fulfilling day. At the end of the day, you will take your watercolour home. If you don't have your own materials (brushes, paints and palettes), we can lend them to you for £10.

The workshops will be led by Chelsea Flower Show exhibitor and award winning artist Jan Harbon. Jan has experience in both botanical illustration (Silver Gilt Medal from RHS, Certificate of Botanical Merit SBA) and free flowing watercolours. Her work – which is loose, but botanically accurate – is praised for bridging both of these areas of flower painting, and is collected in the UK and internationally. Her paintings have won prestigious awards from the Society of Botanical Artists and Society of Floral Painters. She has a Certificate of Education in Adult Learning.
