Description
Visiting Covent Garden Flower Market – not too early in the morning – opens up a glorious world of flowers, foliage, traders, design florists, silks, sundries and mechanics. No one can fail to be fascinated by this wholesale market which can sometimes appear hard to negotiate by the uninitiated.
We let you know which traders are happy to work with the non professionals, and inform you on how to choose the freshest and best flowers in the season.
Following this immersion into the world of flowers, transport will be arranged to take you to the flower school in Kinnerton Place South where you will enjoy a croissant and coffee as part of the course.
You will then create a floral design. Judith will share lots of tips and advice on how to succeed every time, and how to make sure your flowers last to their full potential. All of this in the most convivial atmosphere in a beautiful, calm location.

I had an incredibly valuable experience at the flower school. Everyone, including myself was captivated by Judith’s remarkable compassion and personality.

I had a really lovely day and thoroughly enjoyed meeting you at the market and then the session back at your school. The information and tips you gave us will be invaluable and will make my forthcoming flower arranging attempts much more successful. (I’ve already started feeling hydrangeas for firmness before I buy!)
All communications with the school were so friendly and polite. Scarlet was lovely in person too.
Thank you again for such a pleasant, relaxing and creative day.

Visiting New Covent Garden Market with Judith was a great experience. She demystified it all and gave us plenty of top tips on buying flowers too. I’m looking forward to returning and would feel much more confident in what I’m looking for

Can’t believe it’s been a week since my lovely flower arranging class and the flowers are still looking as gorgeous as ever! I can’t express how therapeutic and enjoyable the day was. I’m still buzzing.

I would highly recommend the flowers for beginners course. A highlight was walking around the new covent garden market with Judith who took the time to introduce us to the different flowers and gave excellent tips on how to select and care for the blooms. Under Judith’s attentive tutelage we all prepared a stunning arrangement which we were able to take home and enjoy.

I recently attended Judith’s introduction to flower arranging course and really enjoyed the whole experience. I’d flagged up with the school that I’d had an accident a few days previously and I was on crutches and they assured me that I would be ok. Judith really watched out for me and made sure that I was well looked after. I’m really pleased with the display that I created and have learnt a new skill that I will use going forward. Judith and her team were very relaxed and welcoming and were great hosts. Looking forward to trying another of her courses in the future.

I attended the “Flowers for Beginners” course last Friday with my mother who was over for a weekend visit. We met Judith and the other students under the large clock in the heart of the flower traders’ market. From that moment, we were taken under Judith’s wing and led gently into the wonderful world of floristry! Judith is a floricultural wizard and the course felt rather like a class one might take at Hogwarts – especially after seeing the creations that we were able to come up with by the end of it! Judith and Tom: thank you for a superb start to the weekend. I highly recommend this course which is suited to all nationalities and any age group.

For her birthday I bought my other half the “Flowers for Beginners” one-day course at Judith’s school. She absolutely loved it, and found the tuition top-notch. It sounded like a full day, with an early start dashing from New Covent Garden Flower Market to the Blacklock School in Knightsbridge. She came home beaming, with a display she’d made and full of ideas for future courses I could buy her for Xmas and Valentine’s Day…At this price, for everything you get, it was actually excellent value, and included transport and what was by all accounts a very good breakfast.. Highly recommended.

Always important to tap into one’s creativity – keeps you alive! Yesterday’s Flowers for Beginners course was fantastic – inspired me to create, inspired me to love and want to work with flowers even more and I’m now inspired in ‘me’ 🙂 All that impact in just 4 hours, not to mention a fab tour of New Covent Garden Market, which was a first for me. The course was very practical yet magical, I like Judith’s down to earth approach and her endless ‘top tips’. Plus I got to take home a beautiful arrangement I created. This was a very valuable and unforgettable day. Thank you.
